The documentary tells the plans for the so called "Scheunenviertel" in the heart of Berlin: new buildings and a new social environment, as well as the changes that took place after the Unification 1989. Those living in the houses, they still believe that by themselves they are able to take care of the necessary work for keeping up the houses and apartments of one of the oldest districts of Berlin. But like this, a revival of the of the historic district will only be realized in parts. Impressions and interviews - between the past and the departure into a new era.
